Getting a broad picture of the services landscape for individuals with ASD will help parents feel more confident in navigating the road ahead for their child. Resources will be provided for attendees to connect to providers, get support in these processes, and learn more. Learning about the range of therapies and services to consider and identifying the various funding sources to help access and pay for them can seem overwhelming. This introduction will help parents consider next steps in planning for their child’s future.
Objectives:
* Review the types of services and supports that exist for those with ASD and the eligibility requirements for each, including Medicaid and Social Security benefits
* Provide information about who to contact and how to apply for each type of support or service.
* Additional funding options will be introduced
