The approach of your child’s 18th birthday brings a flurry of anxiety and activity. So what should a parent do? This workshop will cover what to do when as well as how to decide what you should do for your particular child.

• Determine whether guardianship is appropriate
• Look at other alternatives to guardianship
• Overview of the steps to guardianship/powers of attorney
• Examine Medicaid for adults
• Examine SSI for disabled adults
