Adult Programs

The Autism Society of North Carolina offers support, guidance, and opportunities for young adults and those preparing for the transition to adulthood.

Programs in Wilmington and Greenville for individuals ages 16-28, of any ability, focus on independent-living skills, job readiness, social engagement, and recreation while incorporating skill development in other areas necessary for a successful transition to adulthood.

In Raleigh, Greensboro, and Davidson, IGNITE community centers offer activities and educational groups that foster independence and social interaction for young adults with high-functioning autism or Asperger’s Syndrome.

Autism Resource Specialists are available in every county of North Carolina to offer guidance; find one near you. For online resources related to transition, such as toolkits and webinars, please click here.
