Making Connections, Building Community for People with Autism

Autism Awareness Month is the perfect time to remind those impacted by autism about the may resources and supports available to them. At the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC), we know how vital it is for individuals with autism and their families to have access to services and programs. That’s why we offer so many ways to assist people in making important connections in their community. From our Autism Resource Specialists to our Support Groups, we are here to help you on every step of your journey.

About Autism Resource Specialists

Our Autism Resource Specialists are available to individuals and families in every county of North Carolina. They are trained professionals and all of them are parents of children or adults with autism. They bring firsthand knowledge and a unique understanding of the autism experience as they connect you with the resources, services, and programs you and your family need. The ASNC Autism Resource Specialist (ARS) services are provided free of charge. Visit the Talk with a Specialist webpage to find an Autism Resource Specialist near you.

About Support Groups

ASNC Support Groups promote and extend the mission, vision, and values of the Autism Society of North Carolina. Led by volunteer parents or family members who have been impacted by autism, there are more than 80 active Support Groups across the state. Each Support Group organizes their own activities and meetings based on the needs and interests of the group. For more about Support Groups and where to find one near you, please visit the Find a Support Group webpage.
