The 4th Annual Eastern Run/Walk for Autism will be held Saturday, April 28, at 9:00 am at the Town Commons in Greenville. The event, which is sponsored by the Pitt County Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina, includes a chip-timed 5K and an Autism Awareness Walk. The morning will begin with free hot air balloon rides sponsored by RE/MAX Preferred Realty from 7:00 – 9:00 am.
Proceeds will go to support individuals and families affected by autism in Pitt County. In previous years, funds have been used for Camp Royall scholarships, the Greenville TEACCH Summer Social Club, and the ECU Pirate Speech Camp. $20,000 has been raised to date.
