Treatment Options Available Under Insurance Coverage

ASNC is now providing ABA therapy via our Lifelong Interventions program in the Triangle and greater Charlotte areas. We are in-network providers with BCBSNC, which covers the NC State Employees Health Plan along with a variety of other employers in the state who are offering ABA and autism treatment coverage to their employees. We are also currently serving clients with Aetna and United Healthcare insurance. If you are unsure if your current insurance policy covers ABA and autism treatment, members of your human resources department or the customer service line listed on the back of your insurance card should be able to you determine benefits. When you call, you should have the date of birth of the member, insurance group number, and insurance number in hand, as they will ask for this information. ASNC also accepts private payment from families who do not have insurance coverage but are still interested in obtaining the service.

All insurance policies are different and have individual criteria that must be met before the treatment is covered. In general, you should expect to provide recent diagnostic evaluations to prove that the treatment is medically necessary before gaining approval for coverage from your insurance carrier. Additionally, beneficiaries will be responsible for co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles as applicable based on their plan.

ASNC is accepting new clients at this time in both the Triangle and greater Charlotte areas. If you are interested in this service through ASNC, please click here to complete an interest form, and a member of our Clinical Services team will contact you. We plan to expand services throughout the state based on need/requests.
