Behavioral Supports

Clinical Department staff are available to provide behavioral support to parents and caregivers, professionals and self-advocates within a variety of contexts including the home, elementary and secondary education settings, early childhood education and daycare settings, adult day programs, and residential contexts.

Our behavioral supports can involve many valuable aspects, including but not limited to behavioral/functional assessment, behavior consultations, creation and use of structured systems and visual supports, instructional strategies, functional communication training, development of formal Behavior Support Programs, coaching on their implementation and related follow-up, empirical analysis of progress, and so on.

The ultimate goal of our consultative service is to empower stakeholders such as parents, caregivers and professionals with evidence-based and relevant strategies that they can apply and maintain to promote optimal outcomes for the individuals they support.
