Day Camp

Registration for Summer Day Camp is now open and is first come, first served. Registration for the Summer Overnight Camp lottery has closed.


Day Camp operates on a first come, first served basis. Campers will have the option to go online to our registration page during the application period and register for as little as one week and as many as 10 weeks of Day Camp this summer, based on availability.

Day campers will take part in the same outdoor activities as our overnight campers. Day campers are in a separate group from our overnight campers and have their own schedule. They do overlap a few times each day with the overnight campers.

  • Hours are 9 a.m-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday.
  • Cost is $650 per week.
  • Snacks are included.
  • Campers must bring their own lunch.
  • Transportation options may be available from select locations; you can express your interest in transportation during registration.

Admission Criteria:

  • Camper must have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Camper must be at least four years of age at the time of camp.
  • Camper must be a current resident of North Carolina.
  • Camper’s behaviors must be manageable within the scope of ASNC policy and procedures and the supervision the camp is able to provide.
  • Camper must be exempt from any extreme health-care conditions or needs.

*High-Functioning Criteria:
Language should be comprehendible by others and appropriate to age level. Adolescents and children should be able to participate in group activities that require conversation skills, follow verbal directions, and participate in simple discussions, and be supervised in a group of two or three. Adolescents and adults should be independent in all daily living skills (toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.) and be able to be supervised in a group of four. Campers should not engage in disruptive behaviors. New applicants applying for this week will be screened by camp staff and will not be eligible to attend this week without screening in advance.
